Guys, you can disagree with someone without calling them names though, or saying their post is dumb, as that implies they are too. It's the personal attacks that should not be taking place. I have an idea that you disagree with? Fine, tell me why you disagree with it and call it a day...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not all about carebears and my little ponies. I just find it rediculous that people would resort to name-calling to respond to someone else's opinion. I thought most of us had matured more than that, but I see this happen time after time on here. In that, I find I do agree with Raging in that you don't have to be mean to get your point across.

Somehow Raskle, I think the fact that you can make your point without slinging disparaging remarks around constantly got lost in the translation somewhere. I mean to an extent I get why it happens when someone is responding to being called outside their name (and I mean when it is serious, not effing around as a joke)...but why start it without provocation? All it usually means when people namecall is that they got nuttin' because they can't refute the opposing points. I may not say it much, but you, Outlaw, and Scot are some of the most articulate posters here. It's a shame O4 doesn't post much anymore though.
