The Official Lockout is over thread/ Done Deal!

First of all, if you think this is bad. You should have seen what the NFLPA did to the owners back in 06, which is why the NFL is in this position. This was a similar move, but done in a much more resonable way. This is negotiating, this is how it works. It's a game of one upman ship..

Also with the players not wanting to re certify, the NFLPA said that the players didn't want to and that it would be hard to talk them into doing so. That the decision to re certify the NFLPA would be a hard one.

The thing is, that's bullpoo. The players knew from the start, that they would have to recertify to get a CBA done. End of story

Oh my goodness, I had no idea!!! What did these awful players do to the poor, poor owners back in 2006?

I doubt I'll have any success explaining this to you but I'll try to boil it down. Good faith negotiations can be extremely heated, often hostile. That's fine but keep it between yourselves until the pen's on the paper. And after that, shut the fug up about it.

Ugh...why am I doing this.

Of course they did. What's your point?

Most people don't know that. The NFLPA going out and making an announcement that re certifying would be difficult to talk the players into... <- same Bullshit that the Owners have been pulling.

The anti trust Lawsuit -> another BS negotiating tactic, then those 10 players asking for the Franchise Tag to be removed and for money before they would agree to vote = More BullShit.

The original Anti trust lawsuit was wanting to get rid of the NFL draft, the Franchise Tag, the CBA, the Salary Cap.... = More bullshit negotiating tactics.

The players have even said the only thing about the Owners voting that they didn't like was announcing it had passed. However, everyone knew they were voting on it. It was going to slip eventually with in a couple of hours.

The players didn't like it because for the first time in these negotiations they were behind the damn 8 ball, yet the players knew the owners were voting Thursday. Also, the NFLPA was supposed to agree to vote on re certification and to put a Vote on the CBA during the week. They didn't do either of those, acting like this is one's fault and not the other is stupid. The owners aren't just going to vote on something that hadn't already been agreed to.

On top of that, most of the issues that are still being negoitated, are Collective bargainning issues that can't be agreed on till the NFLPA reforms.

Both sides are pulling the same poo and doing the same things. If you can't see that then I'm sorry.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/6797238/2011-nfl-lockout-owners-players-come-deal-all-points-sources-say

The NFL's players association and owners groups have reached agreement on the remaining points needed in their 10-year labor deal, sources from both sides said.

Despite the fact the new agreement will require a majority vote from the players, that part of the deal between the two sides is considered a formality, according to sources.

The NFLPA is making plans for a major press conference Monday. But first the player reps' executive committee is scheduled to fly to Washington, D.C., on Sunday so they can vote Monday.

You know, the title should probably read..... Done Deal.... we think!

I'm still going to wait until the players vote to be 100% certain we are actually done with the lockout this time. NFL has been such a huge tease as of lately, I'm hoping and thinking tomorrow is the day.
