The Official Lockout is over thread/ Done Deal!

It was supposed to be to recertify and then Thurs. both sides would have voted to end the lockout from what I could tell from news sources and whatnot. But not only did they do none of it they are still stalling. The owners had said they had a handshake agreement with the PA. Which is why everyone thought Thursday/Friday when they voted it would go through, only players were busy trying to figure out how to spend their sneaky insurance DS got for them and completely let it blow by.

I still don't understand why the players were "supposed" to ratify the deal last Thursday. The only timetable I saw was in the deal ratified by the owners which said Tuesday and the players are complying. Absolutely nothing is lost by voting Monday vs last Thursday. No money, no games.

I don't see how the players are doing anything wrong or disingenuous.

According to ESPN the players will vote Monday...

Don't know if it's been said yet; and quite frankly I'll believe it when I see it. Just got out of a movie so it's probably been talked about already...

If not the link is in ESPN's home site... To tired. Long ass day, going to bed.

Good night Huddlers

Bullpoo. NFL owners were not right to do that. It was dishonest, opportunistic and unethical. If you're comfortable doing business that way, well I don't think there's much to discuss. I certainly won't be buying a car from you.

I've never tweeted, retweeted or even read a tweet that wasn't quoted in a news item and even those I ignore, so I don't particularly care about that.

?

Not really.

"Players seeming to not want to be a union again?" I assume you mean they don't want to recertify until they're sure they've reached a deal. That's not a game that's common sense.

First of all, if you think this is bad. You should have seen what the NFLPA did to the owners back in 06, which is why the NFL is in this position. This was a similar move, but done in a much more resonable way. This is negotiating, this is how it works. It's a game of one upman ship..

Also with the players not wanting to re certify, the NFLPA said that the players didn't want to and that it would be hard to talk them into doing so. That the decision to re certify the NFLPA would be a hard one.

The thing is, that's bullshit. The players knew from the start, that they would have to recertify to get a CBA done. End of story
