Not Peyton?

No not Peyton. Even if he was available i wouldnt want him for what he is going to bring in salary wise. I want to roll with Newton and see if the panthers shock us with a Asumgha, Edwards, Coefield, Weddle, Delhomme free agency!

It is nice of Jerry to say but it is totally meaningless.

Could you imagine him saying the opposite?

Don't expect a ton of big name free agent's rolling into Charlotte. Every team is ready to deal. Even though we were the cheapest team in the league last year there are plenty of teams with money to spend.

Lol if his plan was to get us in contention Fox would have been fired a year ago and this team would have been rebuilding then.

Instead we're a year behind where we should be.

Dude looked out for himself last year, don't let him fool you.

How exactly are we rebulidng? New coach and a new QB, but we're not in cap hell and we don't have any fat to trim. The team is also not devoid of talent. The rebuilding year was last year, this isn't going to be a season where it's acceptable to to go 4-12.

I said it then--ridding the big contracts, allowing the youngsters to get experience, having a low payroll going into the 2011 season was smart. It is not like we were slated to make the playoffs anyway.

I got some prime land for sale, great water views and lots of interesting animal life (yeah, swamp land). Anyone gullible enough to beleive that Richardson was doing anything but looking out for himself at the expense of the fans, is gullible enough to fall for anything. Hard to beleive that despite all the evidence to the contrary many fans still hold this naive view. Keeping Fox was to save a lousy 5 million in a budget of over 125 million. Everyone knew that he was lousy with young guys and only worked well with veterans. Plus he was a lame duck coach. No matter how you look at it, that was a poor decision that is really indefensible.

When you have a totally new staff, are the youngest team in the league, have a rookie quarterback, gutted most of the vets, and are installing a totally new system, that is the very definition of rebuilding. As for 4-12 that is twice as many wins as last year. Honestly if you think we will be much better than that you might be severely disappointed.

So are you saying more than 4 wins this season?
