DeAngelo Williams a bad fit for the Panthers

Agreed.

I am not saying that the Panthers will keep him....or should keep him. Just that Brook's logic as to why he is a bad fit here is garbage.

Personally, with Stewart, Goodson, and Sutton....I would rather spend the money on a WR, DT, or CB.

I know, there is no logic there. Rb's arent the same after 4-5 years and he already has injury problems. Spend it in FA.

I can see Williams staying, but honestly from a business standpoint they should let him go. History shows that his best years are behind him. He could have one big year left in him, and a few more "serviceable" years, but D-Will has a ton of miles on those legs and I can't see him being as explosive as he was a few years back. Time to pass it on to J-Stew.

Just pay for DeAngelo. With Cam in there, he NEEDS as much help as he can get. He needs to be able to hand off to a premiere back, along with JStew as well. It just has to be there, because without a solid run game for Cam he is going to have to throw the ball too much, be forced to make risky decisions, or get hurt trying to run the ball himself.

you do realize the premiere RB will probably be Stewart over the next 2 seasons NOT Williams even if they are both on the roster.

Workhorse does not sound like it would appeal to DWill. Sharing the load has worked well so far....even set a record. Bet he would like a longer career in the type of situation he has in Carolina than being in a career ending workhorse role.

The key word as you mentioned is workhorse. Since he left college, when has Williams ever shown he could be a workhorse. In fact the last 2 years he has ended up with injuries. Why did he do it in college and not in the pros?? Look at who Memphis played and the size of the defensive guys compared to the NFl and it is easy to see that he doesn't have the big strong frame to resist injuries.

He would not hold up if he gets over 300 carries a season.
