Jenkins is announcing retirement

I'm a U of Md alum, so, my memories of Jenks is a lot different.

He did thank Charlotte in his retirement as someone said, more than Peppers has ever done and ever will do.

Jenks also made the Panthers and Tampa Bay an interesting blood bath of a game...and helped out with those PAT blocks.

He is someone, however, who could have been a HOF'er; but, didnt' have the discipline...it happens.

I do happen to believe he told the absolute truth about Fox.

Someone used the 'glass houses' comment in regards to that, and I guess I feel, well, that kills 90% of the Huddle, including me.

It's ironic that Jenkins was disgruntled with the Panthers and wanted out......yet the Panthers never really replaced him. DT has been a weakness for this team ever since Jenkins left..., and continues to be a main concern going into the Rivera era.

Meh It wasn't too bad with Lewis and Kemo but drafting wise it's been awful.

Not sure who you are thinking of. Jenkins always stated how he hated Charlotte nightlife. In fact, that was the main reason he wanted to leave.

"When I retire, I'll be moving back to Charlotte just because it's cheaper, it's slower, it's more peaceful, it's less trouble for your kids to get into," Jenkins said. "It's going to be a beautiful thing and that's why I can't complain. When it's all said and done, and when you look at it through the good and the bad out there, it helped me develop the character that has made me who I am now.

"That's why I said I have nothing to be mad at.
