Jenkins is announcing retirement

im not saying Jenkins was a bad player. My only point was about the timing for the trade and how it worked out.

The guy was a stud when healthy.

It's been a long time since Jenkins was completely healthy though. He had what, 3 complete seasons in his career? That was all with the Panthers too, so we got about all we could get out of him.

I did look at his career and Jets did get one complete season out of him.

Not sure who you are thinking of. Jenkins always stated how he hated Charlotte nightlife. In fact, that was the main reason he wanted to leave.

You know if he had stayed and straightened up our DT's probably wouldn't have run out of gas vs the Giants at the end of 08-09 and we probably would have had home field advantage.

Yea but we would have had it through out the playoffs and we wouldn't have had to play Arizona.

We would have played Philly instead, and I think everyone who remembers the first game of 2009 at B of A remembers how that turned out.

Are there reasons retiring prior to the CBA signing would make a difference? Might be why we're seeing these happen now.
