Edwards to Carolina?

Just saw a bit on sportscenter and Herm Edwards mentioned Carolina as a possible landing spot for Braylon Edwards. I would personally love bringing him in. Thoughts?

I think we are better suited grooming young WRs with Cam. Shockey/Smith provide more than enough veteran presence/talent. If Smith goes you bring in a older guy.

Braylon is only 28, he's easily got 5 years left in him. I would feel a lot better with him AND smitty on the field.

I think Edwards would come fairly cheap all things considered and would be a good get. He has drop issues, but is still a very talented receiver.

Sure, Braylon Edwards wants to leave the NY market to play in Carolina with another rookie quarterback. That would be on the top of my list.

Steve Smith is in all likelyhood not going anywhere because no one will pay for him. I would be thrilled to be proven wrong though.

I don't think the Panthers have a strong need at WR relative to other areas.

So would most people and that includes the Jets. Edwards is the most likely candidate from the Jets and it seems he is getting over the dropped passes.
