Re-read my post. I said I was talking about TWO feature backs, not 1. In their respective duo's, those guys you mentioned would be the ONE feature back in the duo I was referring to. The other guy would NOT be the feature back (Your TJ Ducketts, your James Stewarts', and the other players who may have been great later on, but not necessarily when they were in the duo). And even the other players IN the duo who I would consider the feature back didn't preform to the level that DeAngelo and Jonathan did. There was not one duo that had two 1000 yard rushers, not to mention two 1100 yard rushers.

Williams is the only sure fire back this team has in regards to staying healthy....

He has been a bit dinged up over the past 2 years (not finishing a season since 2008), was ridden hard at Memphis, and has about (historically) 2, maybe 3 quality seasons left. Not sure I would call him healthy.

anyway this is a tough decision imo. I personally would re-sign DeAngelo and trade Stewart down the road when his contract runs out by tagging him then shipping him.

If Newton goes in early he'll need a plethora of options at his disposal and in Chud's likely offense, it will be including multiple RBs, TEs, and WRs.

But the thing is as great as our RBs are, the amount of talent at that position makes it intriguing to see what moves can be made to improve areas of greater need.

Two running backs that were mediocre, but only that year they shared carries, because when they're alone, they're not mediocre. Actually, let me be clear when i say not mediocre on their own, um, can't emphasize that enough, even if i bluntly call them mediocre. I mean when together they are two mediocre backs, but separately they transform into great backs like megatron transforms into a scary tank in revenge of the fallen, and NOT just thinking they're simply mediocre backs just splitting carries like i just said

It's not arguing semantics, it's clear you were being selective about the players you pointed out in a half-hearted attempt to discredit what I said. If you use the brain I'm giving credit to you for having, you'd know which players I was talking about and which ones I wasn't. The fact that you tried to mis-represent what I said in no way makes what I said any less true.

Yup, both are positions that you can play well into your 30's, RB ain't one of them.

I just have a feeling that Hurney cares about keeping the drafted players over everything else. I think they'll pay Williams pretty well.
