Shockey: Lockout ends Thursday, players to report on Friday

Interesting, Person did an quick write up on this and mentioned several Panthers players were not aware of any specific plans to hold a camp on the 22nd, but Shockey sounded pretty confident that players were being asked to report to Charlotte on Friday and mentioned specific dates for a camp...

so either Shockey is trolling the hell out of everyone, or he's a psychic

Maybe it wasn't meant to be reported by the media, so the other players kept their mouth shut.

I know we don't like to post PFT articles, but Packers are also telling players to show up Saturday.

Hate pft, but IIRC they haven't really posted any "talks looking up" or "deal close" crap like ESPN has throughout all of the discussions, so if they're putting this out there... combined with Shockey's tweets, we may have football on our hands gentlemen!

DeAngelo's reaction didn't indicate that to me.

I am curious though--how would teams get in touch with players to let them know this sort of stuff?

I have no idea how this information is getting relayed. I'm thinking if there were practice this weekend Kasay would be the first to know since he's the players rep.

Maybe the Panthers have been communicating with the players and that's why Shockey was supposed to keep his mouth shut about it?

Yeah, Shockey messed up hard on this one. Hope the NFL doesn't investigate anything petty like this.

If a deal was imminent, I'd bet that the NFL would "allow" the teams to contact the players and get the ball rolling ASAP.
