i dont remember when or where, but supposedly, Richardson is quoted as saying that "the team" is number 1, so no one else can wear the number.

I think that there may be an attempt to buy the number 2 from Clausen. A good approach would be for Jimmy to sell the number, and then give the money away for charity or something like that.

I doubt Jimmer sells his number. Even if it's a for charity. To be honest Cam needs to not give this importance and just pick a number he feels comfortable with, one that is obviously not #2.
