free agency will not start until after the July 21 meeting (in Atlanta, I think?) to ratify the "agreed in principle" CBA. assuming the agreement in principle can come in the next 48 hours. there was a "timetable" released for the important dates leading to the opening of training camps, and it centered on the league year starting I believe on July 24, with 3 days of free agency to follow before camps started.

I think thats only if they agree on July 21. Im assuming if it does get done on the 15th then free agency will be sooner

that may be a hasty assumption, if chris mortensen is to be believed-
