Double Trouble top two most elusive RB's in the NFL over the last 3 seasons

According to Pro Football Focus, DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart have been the top 2 most elusive RB's in the NFL over the past 3 seasons:

Continuing our look at the NFL over the past three seasons, it’s time to turn our attention to the running backs and our Elusive Rating.

Already in the books and up on the site are the Elusive Rating studies for 2009 and 2010, so the first task was to run the numbers for 2008, which threw up some interesting stats. If you cast your mind back to the 1,500 yard season that DeAngelo Williams put up that year, it won’t surprise you that he topped the list overall. What might surprise you, though, is that his stable mate followed him as the No. 2 that year as the Panthers packed a formidable one-two punch. Something else worth noting is that Williams’ score of 83.4 is the second best score over the past three seasons (only topped by the ridiculous 89.8 posted by LaGarrette Blount this season.)

As a quick refresher, the Elusive Rating is produced by a formula that first combines carries and receptions to reach a ‘ball-handling opportunities’ figure. Total forced missed tackles in both facets are then divided by that first number and the result is multiplied by yards per carry after contact and then again by 100.

J-stew will eventually leave, I'm pretty sure he's tired of the backup role. Once his contract is up in 2013.

IDK about that. More and more teams are moving to duel RBs. This is what's working, why change it? I still think JStew will sign another contract here.

I have a feeling Stewart is going to take the starting gig this year. It might not be official for a while but he'll take the majority of the carries.

I can see that, Stewart runs with more power so it would make more sense to use DeAngelo as the "change of pace" guy and save him some wear and tear in the process.

by that time the two of them will have switched roles and i don't think it will be a problem for either guy, just like it hasn't been so far.

both guys know that they are better working together than as the primary carrier for some other team. ego is not a factor here with these two. never has been.

For the record, PFF also ranked our offensive line the 13th best run blocking unit and 5th best pass blocking unit in 2010 so it leads you to believe that a good portion of our offensive struggles were caused by:

:jc:

Well I just read one of those season preview mags and rating the positions on a scale of 1 to 10 everything was a 7-9 while qb was a 5...:jc:

Stewart is a VERY talented back, and deserves to be the primary back. We don't need to waste more talent like we did with Deangelo and starting foster over him.
