Dear everyone posting in NC,

I live in central Texas, where it has been 100+ degrees every day for the past month, and will continue to be 100+ every day until September.

I looked at the weather for poor old Charlotte...you have some days coming up where it won't even hit 90...

/thread.

Must be your first summer here. It's this way till October.

That's what they make springs and Shiner for.

Off to run.

True.

Its better to be hot as poo and jump into the pool/ run around on the beach

than to have to bundle 4 billion layers of clothing and be like I guess we could go snowboarding again (not that snowboarding isnt fun)

tan>frostbite.

oh, and hep, I don't believe you have anywhere near the amount of humidity we have here. Yeah, it might be 100 out there, but at least you can breathe when you walk outside.

At least ya'll will get some relief soon, it'll be 85 and raining in the next day or so. I can't remember the last time it rained here for more than 5 minutes. Maybe March...

I guess it is what you get used to, because I'd rather have milder summers and frigid winters.

My wife, who lived in TX and VA, complains bitterly about winters here and really doesn't mind when it gets 90+.

I freakin' HATE the hot weather.

I didn't see this thread yesterday because I'd already left the office... half of our AC is broken and I couldn't take it anymore...

I'm like catfang though, I'd rather deal with hot days like yesterday than have it be cold all the time.

    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
