Eh I hate the Patriots because they win so much and are media darlings, you know the Yankees syndrome every sport has one or two of those teams.

As for Belichick, I love to hate him but I admire the hell out of the way he does business. He's the biggest asshole on the block and makes no bones about it. If you deal with him you know your dealing with the devil, you deserve exactly what you get, but people keep dealing with him.

reading between the lines...panthers have said they wont be active till the middle of this week, is that because they needed other dominoes to fall into place(cassell trade to clear room for a peppers trade) so we would have money to spend?

I have no doubt that the Patriots are up to something... this may explain a little. They are definitely in the market for a CB...

For the past 24 hours, it has been pointed out that trading QB Matt Cassel to the Kansas City Chiefs freed up $14.65 million against the New England Patriots’ salary cap.

But LB Mike Vrabel also was included in the deal, and trading him freed up another $3.35 million against the cap.

So with one trade, the Patriots saved a whopping $18 million that they can now use on other players. And it doesn’t look like they will waste a lot of time. Former Washington Redskins CB Shawn Springs is scheduled to visit the Patriots today.

I disagree with the notion that any team in the NFL would be smart business people if they did things to help other franchises. I would be shocked indeed if Belichick felt that he wanted to "help" anyone other than the Pats with a trade.

What if the Patriots told the Panthers about Cutler going to Tampa. Panthers also want Cutler and the Patriots decide to use Cutler to get Peppers. So they take the KC deal instead and by leaking the story and pissing off Cutler and now puts the Broncos in a position to trade Cutler without getting Cassel. Of course the Broncos settleing for Delhomme would be plausable with McCoy being the new OC and in all honesty I think Delhomme would be really good in that NE style of offense.
