And look to the draft possiblities...

The 1st would go to cover 2 corner I think, there isn't a DE or DL woth the pick there...

And if we can get 2 firsts this year hopefully at 34 we would have probably

MAX UNGER, OL, OREGON

WILLIAM BEATTY, OT, CONNECTICUT

MICHAEL JOHNSON, DE, GEORGIA TECH

DERRICK WILLIAMS, WR, PENN ST.

DUKE ROBINSON, OG, OKLAHOMA

JAMON MEREDITH, OT, SOUTH CAROLINA

The would be all good for our needs I guess, we have no OT depth and no OG depth, these are all decent players... Specially Unger written Panthers all over him...

And if we can steal the 47th,

RON BRACE, DT, BOSTON COLLEGE

ROBERT AYERS, DE, TENNESSEE

TROY KROPOG, OT, TULANE

and ROBERT AYERS would fit our needs here I guess...

not a bad prizes dof JP I think...

4 years, 45 million?? Can't be true.

Wasn't it rumored last year that the Panthers offer was for 6 years, 70 million give or take?

pep has said the entire time that it was never about the money, and considering the fact that he tuned down what was at the time the biggest contract ever for a defensive player, I'd say it wasn't about the money either.

I don't get why some people would be bothered by him going to the Pats if it's a good deal for us.

And for those thinking the fact that it's less money makes it ridiculous, let's not forget that Peppers is a "different" personality.

Not saying I buy this idea. I won't until I see something concrete. But in fairness, it's not pure fantasy. Gantt said as much.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that the Patriots turned down a package from the Bucs in a possible three-way Matt Cassel deal that included a first- and third-round pick.

In this scenario, the Patriots would have received the picks, Denver would get Matt Cassel, and Tampa would get Jay Cutler. But there has to be more to the story. Why would the Patriots turn down better picks? One admittedly speculative guess is that the deal with the Chiefs was already verbally agreed to at this point, and the Patriots couldn't back out. Mike Vrabel, after all, was in Kansas City Friday.

As a businessman I'd call bullsh*t on this part. If its over $500, it have to be in writing and I doubt Pats would just be so kind and keep their word. There something else to it.
