Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Carolina Panthers have traded DE Julius Peppers to the New England Patriots. Terms of the deal are not yet available.

This is whack... It would piss me off if we traded Pep to New England. Every year they get the most talented guy available for nothing. And even if they do trade something of value, they just keep it moving in stride like they didn't even take a hit from it. We better not trade him to the Pats unless we get a 1st and 2 2nds in this years draft and a 1st or 2nd next year.

I don't wanna help the rich get richer, that's what is wrong with the country today.

BTW, Can't we match whatever offer the other team has gotten him to agree to regardless of whether he signs?

Sure we could. But then we would have a disgruntled DE that doesn't want to play for us, no cap space, and no first rounder. But otherwise yeah we could.
