Brett Sutter to appear in court for punching cab driver

Recommended Posts

Brett Sutter pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on Monday in relation to an incident that happened on November 11th.

Sutter punched a cab driver and later apologized for his actions. He has been fined $323.60 and will appear in court again for a restitution hearing on September 15th. At the time of the incident, Sutter was playing for the Calgary Flames under his father, then Flames GM Darryl Sutter and his uncle, coach Brent Sutter. Less than a week after the incident, Darryl Sutter traded his son to Carolina, which made him play with the AHL Charlotte Checkers for most of the season. Sutter had 21 points and 84 penalty minutes in 60 AHL contests.

I find this quite comical and understandable. Some of these cab drivers are straight up d-bags. I mean seriously the one's in New York are awful, but I can only imagine what the one's in Canada are like.
