My neighbor abandoned his house

The neighbor across the street apparently has abandoned his house. I havent seen anyone there in a couple months. The lights and water is shut off. I guess he walked away from it, and took only the items he felt he needed. However he left a bunch of cool stuff from what I can tell. The busy-body neighbors around him actually somehow "got" into his house and said there is a ton of tools, a grill, and other misc items of value in there.

Some of those people were talking about taking the stuff....However me thinks that is illegal!

I hate to say, but I am kind of glad this family is gone. The wife left this dude, who then lost his job due to alcohol. The shame in it is that the wife didnt take his 3 teenage kids with him. So he would leave town for a week at a time and the house had no adult supervision. There were knuckleheads always coming and going from that house, and they would cause some trouble.

If it were maritime law you could tie the house to yours and then you could keep the house of they would have to pay a fee to get it back.
