The Broncos are actively shopping Jay Cutler

Yeah, I think the only reason Cutler was offered up was because they would've been getting McDaniels' prodigy in his place. So I think now Cutler is staying put, unless they have an opportunity to take Sanchez or Freeman maybe.

Bottom line - It's not gonna happen for us.

exactly, so everyone can stop overthinking this and come to terms that Jake is our guy... yet again :( this season, but i think its his last year, unless we win the superbowl, then he will probably be resigned again

Man we sure do like to plan for the future when our starting QB is almost done with his current contract. Matt Moore and McCown coming up behind him...what a joke. If we don't parlay Julius Peppers into an up and coming QB (either through the draft or trade) then 2010-2011 is going to SUCK.

again....

trade peppers for defense either in the way of players or draft picks used only for defense.

stupid to do anything but that.

we don't NEED cutler.

we NEED defense.

btw...not saying that jake >> cutler.

truth is cutler >>>>>> jake. still not a wise thing to do.

Valid. Admittedly Peppers for Cutler and additional compensation (1st rounder preferably, 1st and next year's 2nd acceptable, two 2rd rounders at the absolute least) is a trade I could see doing, but I seriously doubt Fox and Hurney would do it.

Cutler isn't all he's cracked up to be, but he is better than Delhomme right now in my thinking. However, my thinking and the team's thinking are not the same thing.

Straight up would be fine by me

Possible especially if Peppers plays one more year for us then leaves with no compensation. However they need to play for next season and the pieces are in place to have another good one.

More to the point though, others have already said it, don't bother getting your hopes up for this one.

This trade idea wasn't about getting rid of Jay Cutler. It was about getting Matt Cassel.

That's no longer an option. Thus, expect the Broncos to stick with Cutler.
