The Broncos are actively shopping Jay Cutler

I wouldn't go that far.

While I agree that Cutler is a more talented QB than Delhomme, I don't think he's as good as some in this thread have hyped him to be. He's at kind of a crossroads now where his attitude could be just "Dan Marino" or it could get to full blown "Ryan Leaf", so he's not risk free.

I would agree that this trade idea is unrealistic from both sides of the coin.

Ryan Leaf? The kid is coming off a Pro Bowl year. Just what are these horrendous attitude problems anyway? He's cocky? Who cares? Isn't Smitty cocky as hell too?

Oh hell no :nonod:

Give up a franchise DE, a starting QB, leave us with no first or second rounder and all we get in return is a quarterback who while physically gifted has some attitude issues and hasn't really stepped up as a leader?

Not in a million years.

I hope you're joking :sosp:

Why not?

We give up Peppers who wants out, Stewart who is great but is going to be a backup and Delhomme who isn't good for the best young QB in the NFL.

We are going to have two top 5 QBs in our division for the forseeable future in Brees and Ryan so we need someone to compare with them. I gotta think if there was an actual chance we could acquire Cutler it would be done already so I doubt it happens.

So you are of the philosophy that weakening the run game and getting some strong armed QB (and to me that's all he has shown so far is that arm) is the way to deal with two other teams in the div who have good offenses/talented QBs? The "outscore 'em in the air" approach vs the good run game and defense approach? Well then, you will be one frustrated dude with this administration...forever.

Trade Stewart ?? Thats the most retarded thing I have heard all off season.

Cutler gunning it out to Smitty....that would be nice!! I wont Jake out real bad...but thats been discussed many times over. What about all the WR'S?

I would love Mcnabb and one these wrs

Boldon ,TJ or Coles

We need to get Peppers out of here so we have some money to spend !!

We still have DeAngelo and our OL. If we would have known DeAngelo would break out last year we wouldn't have drafted Stewart anyway. We can pick up a RB in FA or the draft that can be a backup. Cutler is a star and he would be an MVP candidate with DWill, Steve and our OL. It would suck losing Peppers but hes not going to play for us anyway. I'm not saying we are just going to outscore everyone, I'm not sure if you watched last season or the playoffs but this team needs a QB in the worst possible way. Get Cutler and then focus our attention in the draft for the next two years and FA on the defense. Cutler isn't exactly the kind of player that becomes available often.

Pu the pipe down. All we have to offer Denver is Peppers and Jake. Putting Stewart in the mix would hurt us becasue we wouldnt have a backup RB.

No I didn't watch the season last year at all. That's why I think they have the defense to win championships already and the way to improve the team that put up about 30 on offense over the last half of the year along with surrendering about that on defense the last half of the year is to get rid of a guy they just drafted in the first round @ RB and trade him with Pep for some attitude impaired strong armed QB who hasn't showed the mentality to deal with adversity.

Thats the point, Stewart has much more value then a backup RB and Denver won't trade us Cutler for Peppers and Jake. We could easily get a good backup RB in FA or the draft.

Not in this years deaft and with Peppers and Jake it would be a even trade. Cutler isnt that great.

Yeah Cutler isn't that great, hes only a young pro bowl soon to be perennial MVP candidate QB with more talent then anyone in the league at QB. Cutler would make us Super Bowl contenders for the next 8-10 years. Its not going to happen though because Fox would have already pulled the trigger if he had the chance.

Please stop.

Ok, I'm all for sending Peppers and Delhomme on their way for Cutler and a draft pick. Nothing would make me happier as a Panthers fan, actually. Now the fact that you would add Stewart just for the helluva it reeks of dumbassery to a degree and level I have not yet seen on INTERNET

So adding a backup RB who is playing behind a young pro-bowler takes the trade from "all for it" to "dumbassery to a degree and level I have not yet seen on INTERNET"?

:(
