Could Anderson outshine Beason?

Yes, it may sound like a dumb topic but I was watching some games from 2010 and Anderson absolutely dominated, also beat Beason statistically and I also know it was a bit hard for Beason who had to change sides due to Davis being injured.

Anderson stats 130 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 int, and 2 force fumbles pretty good for his first full year as a starter

Beason stats 121 tackles, 1 sack, 1 int, 2 force fumbles

Is it possible? :leaving:

With Beason in the middle, his natural position? Highly unlikely. Also, Anderson faded near the end of last year once Beason moved back inside... coincidence?

That said, I like Anderson as a player and think he can be a good to very good player for years to come.

Doubt it. Beason's on a mission this season, and gonna show why he should've been ranked higher than he was on that player's list. I also believe Anderson is a tad bit overhyped on this forum. He's still a good LB, but he won't outshine Beason.

There is a huge difference between out producing and actually out performing him Anderson never gave up this season and played very well, but this was a contract year.

Anderson's becoming overated if people keep using his stats. I'm never trusting LB stats with an interior as terrible as ours was.

Anderson is dependable, not quite a dynamic playmaker, but he won't drop easy INTS. If he was a little more aware and instinctive he could be really, really good.

I definitely want him back but I sure hope all of his drive wasn't fueled by the contract year.

Anderson Beason and a healthy Davis/Connor is going to be ridiculous.

I don't think he was really given a chance by Fox, he was invisible his two years here.

Anderson has been around a lot longer than 2 years unless you're referencing some other player.

Well he has never gotten a FULL chance to start the whole season. Another great example by Fox coaching, even though he did a good job his first year with 18 tackles and 2 sacks.

If there is one position Fox consistently got right during his time in Carolina, it was LB (Morgan over Witherspoon notwithstanding). Perhaps Anderson could have outperformed Diggs, but Diggs was not bad, just not flashy, and neither is Anderson really.

I don't think Anderson can outshine beason. He will still perform and compliment him. I expect his production to drop if davis can stay healthy, but he'll take care of his side no doubt. We might have one of the best linebacker groups out there.
