Thigpen to Carolina??? THINK about IT!

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Matt Cassel is expected to be traded to the Chiefs, but there may a third "mystery team" in play.

Schefter has softened his wording, saying the deal has been "agreed to" and "expected." Paperwork has been drawn up; Cassel will be traded. efter says there is now some question whether Kansas City could be his final destination. The "mystery team" is supposedly a surprise, which would seemingly rule out Tampa.t team could either swoop in or get involved in a three-way deal. Cassel is also working out a possible contract, which is probably the biggest factor in holding up this news. It's possible the Patriots agreed to trade compensation, but Cassel's contract demands are holding the deal up. If Cassel is dealt, it's safe to say the Tyler Thigpen era is over before it started. I got to watch a bunch of KC games last year and this guy is insane accurate and he did it with out a lot of talent surround him. Imagine him throwing bombs to STEVE SMITH and handing off to Double Trouble all day long. I think we'd average 30 ppg with him.

KC Still has their #3 overall pick and they need a pass rusher to replace Jared Allen. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING. We might need to toss in a 3rd rounder to make it fair and square but Thigpen + #3 overall for Peppers and a 3rd or 4th would be straight cash homey. Think about it. :patriot:

I still have my eyes of Brett Ratliff with the Jets.

I don't think he will get traded or cut but with Clemmons and Ainge on the depth chart and possibly will be looking for one in the draft, I wonder if the Jets will cut ties with Ratliff.

He's expected to stay with the Chiefs as the backup to Matt Cassel. Since they are going with a Shotgun heavy pass first spread offense to play to the strength's of Cassel.
