Will my Star Wars figures ever be worth any money?

So about 15 years or so ago I began collecting the Kenners (Spelling?) Re-release Collection of star wars figures. They were only the figures from the first 3 movies when they were released. Anyway, there are about 40-60 figures and vehicles all still in the package. they are sitting in plastic bags in bins under my stair case. Will this ever be worth anything, will anyone ever care about these? They are not a burden for me to store or anything, but I am just wondering if I should try to cash these in now, or in 20 years when there is no market for them? Or should I just give them to my first born son to play with?

Is there a website I can look up the value of them, or has eBay killed the market on collectibles?

Since you said they are the re-release set, then I'd assume they won't be worth a whole lot. The originals from the seventies and early 80s are worth a ton to some people.

You may still get a good bit more than what you paid for the re-release set, but it's not gonna be worth a fortune. (just my guess, I'm not an expert).

You can check out Toyfare magazine and see if they are listed.

All depends on the rarity and the demand.

I recently sold a star wars plastic toy I had as a kid for 500 bucks. It was pretty rare. It was a princess Laeia not in orginal packaging. Apparently all the little boys in the 70s did not want a 'doll' so it was rare lol. THe longer you wait the better.

problem w/collecting toys now is everyone saves them hoping they will be worth something. One reason old toys are worth so much, is that kids opened them and destroyed em. therefore making ones in packages rare and valuable. most of the time nowadays, the toy has to be short printed (forced scarcity) to be worth more than what they retail for.(Im assuming now) but those re-releases probably wont come close to the 70s and 80s 1s value wise. Good luck! who knows you might run into some crazy collector that will pay top $ for em. Also check out ebay completed auctions, that will give you an idea of what they go for.

I have 3x Leia's in the package (90's) and one Leia out of the package (70's). I also have many vehicles and a ton of comic books, including Flash #1

You can make a good bundle off of old comic books, but I would stay clear of Ebay. Contact a local comic book shop to find some sellers, but don't sell to the comic shop. They won't pay top dollar.
