Pats trade Cassel to Chiefs not Bucs

never mind, the third team is where Cassel might end up. Reports are Contract talks are holding up the trade with KC. The third team is A surprising team and isn't the BUCS.

from Rotoworld.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Matt Cassel is expected to be traded to the Chiefs, but there may a third "mystery team" in play.

Schefter has softened his wording, saying the deal has been "agreed to" and "expected." Paperwork has been drawn up; Cassel will be traded. Schefter says there is now some question whether Kansas City could be his final destination. The "mystery team" is supposedly a surprise, which would seemingly rule out Tampa. That team could either swoop in or get involved in a three-way deal. Cassel is also working out a possible contract, which is probably the biggest factor in holding up this news. It's possible the Patriots agreed to trade compensation, but Cassel's contract demands are holding the deal up. If Cassel is dealt, it's safe to say the Tyler Thigpen era is over before it started.

Thats great new and everything but WRONG FORUM! Its not that hard to post in the right forum.

So? Its the offseason, the Panthers are not active at the moment, and there is really nothing to talk about except the same old debates that have been going on since the beginning of the offseason. So chill out!

Also, some of this news could be implications of what is to come for a guy named Peppers. So there.

i can understand the patriots helping out the chiefs but if all they got was a 2nd round pick then they were being WAYYYYYYY too nice

don't think so. Think back to last year when the Browns could have got something for anderson, now everyone knows he sucks. The pats know cassell ain't all that - and getting something while they can. Pats are smart. Browns are dumb.

    • well, the comparison is to last year.  The OL is a 180 degree from that.... and overall on the season they have had better skill talent for the same QBs behind a MUCH better OL.    So yeah, the O not looking any better overall is a red flag for Canales.
    • I just want somebody to settle into that Hangartner role and I may give Mays too much credit. He played so well early and has fell off since injuries crept into his vocabulary.  He was struggling to get push on those goal line runs today.
    • You cannot say it doesn't matter who is playing QB ever in any circumstance. The first two games of the season, Bryce was standing in the pocket with time missing throws left and right. We were running the ball well, but even the gimme throws Canales was setting up, Bryce was missing. Then you start Dalton, boom easy win at Las Vegas. By week four's end, three of our best defenders are seriously injured, center injured, 2nd best veteran WR hurt, and best veteran WR quitting on the team.  Canales is a rookie head coach, and he definitely has had some see what sticks moves. But players are being schemed open, the rookies are progressing nicely, and you have the albatross of some terrible lack of talent to phase out. I give him credit alone for pulling Mingo, Thomas, and going with the better/younger producing players. The scheme is better, he just needs better players and I am not going to write him off until he gets more talent, starting with QB!
