agreed. he's the reason things haven't fallen apart. they came close to it last thursday until he got them straight. both sides have referred to him as their rock in these negotiations.

they need to do whatever it takes to make sure this gets settled, and that is making sure that boylen is there when they meet.

what they should be able to do is irrelevant. the reality is without boylen there a deal will be much harder to reach. you go with what is....not with what should be.

It's weird, ESPN is reporting that a deal won't be reached tonight, and negotiations will likely carry into next week regardless, via the bottomline ticker... Ugggggggggggghhhhh!!!

Players and owners wrapped up Thursday's labor discussions just before 11:00 pm ET Thursday night, after 12.5 hours of negotiating.

The two sides will be back at it Friday morning at 9:00 am ET. NFL Network's Albert Breer characterized Thursday's session as a "tough, tough day" filled with tension, but "progress was made." Per Mark Maske of the Washington Post, a resolution of the revenue split is "inching closer" but talks remain "fragile."
