PFT: The worst moments in Panthers franchise history

Maybe because I was at these, but my personal bottom 3:

The one that always pains me to think of is the Falcons Sunday nighter when Vick had that damn running TD that was reviewed and we barely lost. Then, the blowout a few years back against the Steelers at BOFA and the Cardinals playoff games are my personal worst moments.

Worst moment: Kasay's kickoff

Second worst: Carruth

Third worst: Whenever most fans realized that the Panthers coaches were in over their heads against Arizona.

My best friend is a Falcons fan. You know it's bad when he couldn't even say anything. It was just quiet after the 4th INT. The only I could imagine would be worst is maybe watching my dad get beat down in my front yard by a girl, while everyone I knew watched.

I thought the list was ok. Florio did a good job for Florio, the shots at Smitty were expected. My worst 4 would be:

4: 2-14

3: 1-15

2: 2008 playoff loss

1: Carruth

As someone else already said, last year we were supposed to be bad. No one really expected the team to be good, best realistic expectations were around 8-8. The 2008 team was a very good team and should have destroyed the Cardinals.

The 2008 Panthers were one of the few Superbowl contenders that year... it was a down year for both the AFC and the NFC. Basically 4 powerhouse teams (steelers, titans, giants, panthers) and a slew of incomplete teams. To not only lose but be embarrassed at home in that game is by far the darkest moment in the history of the franchise. We win that game there is a good chance we'd be superbowl favorites considering the Giants and Titans lost

I don't see how he was taking shots at Smitty he was just stating what happened. I think he explained it perfectly which is how I usually describe it. He has a fire that is a great asset on the field but he can't usually turn it off.

Any time Florio talks about Smitty it's taking shots. Even if he said Smitty is the greatest receiver in history, it'd have some second meaning that would be meant to be taking a shot.
