Just heard New England traded aging, do-it-all OLB Mike Vrabel. So that means they'd need another versatile athlete there, somebody who could fill a lot of roles and make a lot of plays.

Well...methinks their former director of personnel knows what Vrabel's worth is to the Chiefs. It's probably far more than it would be to another team. That's the "good" of having your FO and coaching staff raided constantly.

In the same vein, Gaffney will be the perfect complement in Denver.

cassel has been traded to the chiefs. no word on whats coming back the other way yet.

The Kansas City Chiefs have found their starting quarterback. NFL Network’s Adam Schefter reports the Chiefs acquired QB Matt Cassel from the New England Patriots in a trade.

The teams have agreed on compensation, but no details of the deal were immediately available.
