I would have to go into the relationship with him being okay with me texting/talking to guys that I already was friends with before he came around.

If he wasn't okay with it, I wouldn't consider it. Had to deal with too much bullshit with my ex thinking every guy I talked to meant I was going to bang him.

Single men are generally not friends with women in relationships because they are cool or fun to hang out with. Their intentions are well....males intentions. Women are different in that regards. There are very few exceptions though.

When my wife & I were dating she had problems with all the female friends I had. It was almost as simple as telling her "They were my friends before you came around..." It worked itself out, Ive been married for 5 years and dont have any contact with any of them anymore... Dude from the OP has issues, insecurity is another form of immaturity... Dude needs to grow a pair...

When I first read it I thought the guy has problems. Then I remembered I wasn't too comfortable when I found my husband's ex girlfriends number in his phone.

I guess that doesn't change the likely hood that he has problems and I do too.

See I can understand being uncomfortable with it. But to the point where he wanted to be able to go through her phone and delete contacts? Seems a bit too much to me.

See that's the difference. Girls can have that kind of relationship while guys cannot.

There are always exceptions but the majority of guys hang around a girl/girls because they hold on to the hopes of someday sleeping with them.
