I mean, this question could EASILY be a bad movie. What if your kid can't live with the burden of what you did and takes their own life??

also, what if the next day your kid is selected as the "random" person as you weren't the only one given this choice.

psssshhhhhh who said you would be convicted? there is a big gap between being arrested for a crime, being indicted, and actually being convicted and sentenced to prison.

As a new father I can safely say that EVERYTHING changes.

I just don't get the responses here.......I would think there would be more hesitation and uncertainty. Would feel better about the world my child is going to grow up in

That scenario will probably never happen panthro. But I think when you have a child you might have a different perspective.

Not saying I would just be hooting and hollering to be able to murder someone if the opportunity came. Just saying it wouldn't be so easy to answer yes or no.

1) in a fight or flight react now situation, I don't see you (or any parent) hesitating to save your child, no matter what is going on.

2)as far as conviction goes, as fuged up as our court system is now. Honestly, if you have a good defense, you can come out of it pretty good.
