Take the deal with Smitty.

For 8m I would match it for Dwill

14 mil a year for CJ is to high let him go.

IDK on the last one.

Take the deal for smitty? Who or what could you possibly get with a second or third round pick? hmm Dwayne Jarret? Keary Colbert? We need to calm smitty down show him we are serious about winning now and go get our fuggin Super Bowl!!

What if? There isn't a season because the NFL goes into a lockout... Oh wait, that's where we stand...

What if Jimmy Clausen had a record setting rookie year?

What if Julius Peppers had stayed?

What if we ALL stopped making pooty threads? Myself included!

What if we suck again next year?

What if Cam... Nope I'm not even gonna finish that one..

You do realize that less than 25% of 3rd round picks (according to NFL Network) ever become starters in the NFL. I think that was his point.

What if the NFL didn't have a salary floor? Do you think JR would continue to spend 50 million dollars on the team? or would he eventually hire more players off the street like Brian St. Pierre.....

(I am disgruntled this morning)

You are definitely disgruntled this morning.

We all really need to stop this JR is a tight wad stuff. I wish I had the time (I don't) but I would love for someone to trace back year for year how we have been relative to the cap. I would say 14 out of 15 years as the owner he has been well over the salary minimum and probably close to the cap. JR is NOT George Shinn.

No I think his point was that if we got a 3rd round pick for someone we draftee in the third round... That a Smith trade for a third rounder would be acceptable. It's not acceptable when he's a first round talent!

No one is gonna give us a 1st round pick with a aging WR with a history of anger problems. A third is what we'll most likely get

I am under the impression that SMith is only 7.5 million per season for the next two seasons.

I think you have to match CJ if it is to a division rival. $14 million, however, is crazy money. I think you let him walk for that. I would not match over $10 million. He is a one-hit wonder at this point, nothing more.

DW--you let him go if he is offered more than $7 million per. Fox needs too many players to go crazy spending. He might like DW, but he will not get him. RB is a need their, and they have only 1 good RB.

If you would not pay more than $10M for CJ, then you ABSOLUTELY do not understand the value and market price for a Top DE. They are worth $12-14M a season.

Please child.

You do realize that JR has consistently been one fo teh top spenders in the NFL (with the exception of last year). The lack of facts by some is just astonishing.
