just got back from burma

fugged up place with the government and all but some of the awesomest people you'll ever meet. met a motorcycle taxi driver who spoke perfect english and discussed in lengthy detail the plight of ethnic and religious minorities in the country. despite getting drenched by a torrential downpour (maybe going to asia in the rainy season was a bad idea) i managed to get some pretty cool pictures as well.

How is the food there? I hear they eat insects.

insects are a gimmick. ive seen them in bangkok but they're in the tourist sections as convenient photo-ops to show your friends how wild and backwards southeast asia is. of course that's right next to one of the many mcdonalds and high-rise business complexes :lol:

on a related note i am now in laos and saw a restaurant advertising barbecued cow organs as its feature fare.
