Silas wants to play Walker and Augustin togethor

Recommended Posts

OK, let me break it down this way:

Paul: 47% from the 3 pt line.

Kemba: 33% from the 3 pt line.

(note I think the 3pt line has been moved back some since CP3 left WFU, thereby introducing a skew to these numbers)

You're right. We should just go ahead and cut him. He won't be any good. Or better yet, let's play him so we lose every game and get Harrison Barnes (all 15 pts and 5 rebs of him)! OMGZ.

An NBA scout whose opinion I greatly value says the Bobcats didn't screw up by taking Biyombo seventh, passing on Brandon Knight, and then taking Kemba Walker ninth.

However -- and this a big however -- the scout said Walker has to dramatically improve his shooting range. The scout's assessment: The things he did at UConn -- beating people mid-range to create spacing -- will be of dramatically less impact in the NBA. So if he doesn't develop true NBA 3-point range, he won't max out all those other things that attracted him to the pros.

The good news: This scout says the guy is such a competitor that he'll likely figure that out.

I am not the only one concerned about Kemba's impact in the NBA.

You must have purposefully skipped the last line. Which isn't unusual as you've failed to acknowledge that same response every time it comes up. Guess we should just go ahead and give up on Kemba though...

Actually I think I included the last line about Kemba being likely to figure it out. It's in the quote. Just go look for yourself, it's ok.

Point is that at least this scout doubts that Kemba is going to be an immediate impact in the NBA.

Never said you didn't post it. I said you skipped it, as in you didn't acknowledge it...once again. The guy's a hard worker and is going to get much better. But you'd prefer to go with the supposed notion that he is awful and will never be good.
