Charles Johnson Tweets

Nothing else came to atlanta in 2008. Nothing else changed.

It's all due to the poor mans Joe Flacco.

He is just managing under a good system and has good players around him. Thus why the defense is suffering because the money is loaded on good players on the offensive side.

Its true he is a poor mans jJoe Flacco though. Flacco has been growing why Ryan has not progressed.

I don't care if it is his tweet or not. Common sense says it's not.

Typical over reaction on the huddle though. One thing ya can always count on.

He'll get his big payday that he deserves, and chances are he'll still be a panther.

Common sense says it's not his tweet?

We are about to pay to go after a DE like Charles Johsnon

Well Atlanta had just finished the 2007 season 4-12. They had no QB,RB,TE, LB core,HC,OC,DC or GM other than that we were set.

yes Highspeed, I know. You are making my point for me.

The 2008 Falcons were a vastly different team from the 2007 squad. Attributing their success to the arrival of one QB is dumb as hell.

Most sports writers had us winning 1 fricken game in 2008.

Sports writers are dumb people that do not have jobs working in the NFL for a reason.

Yes, I do realize Turner carried the team. Ryan still won ROtY, a lot of people seem to forget that.

An award he didn't deserve. A lot of Falcons fans seem to forget that

BTW, Ryan beat the real Joe Flacco head to head.:p

You mean Roddy White blatantly pushing off in the 4th quarter and getting away with it?

also, Joe Flacco can win a playoff game. As a fan of an Atlanta sports franchise I know that means little to you, but to some people post season success is a major factor.

They just wasted a billion dollars on Dunta Robinson, and their 2009 and 2010 first rounders were defenders, who of course haven't played due to injuries.

And by like Charles Johnson you actually mean Ray Edwards.

On top of that, the Falcons are so desperate for an upgrade on 3/4 of their line that everyone knows they're going after Edwards and they're going to have to outbid themselves like they did with Robinson.

Even better, Edwards will probably end up being Ed Hartwell and their one good d lineman has maybe another year left.

In 08... The 2 big signings besides the GM, HC,and OC... Was Matt Ryan and Turner... Went 11 and 6... We had basically the same guys in 07 (except some changes here and there...The major change up (losing brooking and boley came up in 09.... Tony Gonzalez came in 09

Ive always given Flacco his props for winning in the playoffs.. But come on... In Flacco's 7 games combine his stats are... 98/184 53.2% 1,050 yards 4 touchdowns and 7 interceptions

So lets not act like the guy has been money... That one game against KC drastically improves his numbers... Before this year His stats in 5 playoff games were

57 of 120. for a 47% completion average

132 avg. yds/game

QB rating around 45

1 touchdown pass 6 interceptions

So lets give the guy for winning in the playoffs... But lets not act like the guy was great

lol way to just brush over a completely new front office and coaching staff.

middle linebacker, safety, guard, left tackle, and actually had a system in place that utilized the talent, unlike the Mora regime.

He's won playoff games with better career stats than Ryan almost across the board.

No one has said he's great. Don't put words in my mouth.

I described a player with lesser statistics and less success in the playoffs (Ryan) as being the poor man's version of him, which he is.

you are trying to hard...lol

I'm not trying at all. You're just not up to the task.

The guard was all ready on our team on the bench aka PS.... No disrespect to baker but Todd Weiner was better... More consistent.

I like how Flacco playoff stats doesnt matter....lol

I'm not brushing them off.. They are great... Doesnt take away from what Ryan is and becoming

Ima leave this one alone.. I can see you are one of those type guys..

Whats your twitter tag tho.. ill tweet you a link to Charles Johnson press conference when we sign him

Honestly jbo, why are u even getting into it with him. His team just went 2-14. Your so concerned with the "Flacco-Ryan" stuff when really u need to worry about Deangelo Williams, Steve Smith, & Cam Newton. It's always funny to see how ppl are so quick to become fans of other players & teams when theirs is doing bad.....

The guard was a change though. And yeah Baker blows and needs to be moved to his college position but they're already in danger of losing one OT, they can't replace them both.

In an argument about Ryan v. Flacco they sure don't, unless we want to go down the road of looking at Ryan's playoffs stats, and I just ate so I'm not up to that.

No, but it should put things into perspective.

ryan has been in one of the best situations a young quarterback has ever come in to. He had a tremendous coaching staff that tailored the entire offense around what he's good at (out passes), a monster running game his first year (it's been in slow decline since), a receiver coming off a thousand yard season, and in his second year he was given the greatest tight end in the history of the game (what i consider a mistake but that's neither here nor there.)

With Musgrave gone and Turner and Gonzalez almost done, in addition to the instability on the offensive line, he'll regress this year.

Whelp, sorry guys, my team went 2-14, I'm only allowed to talk about our QB, RB, and WR.

It's because that's all he has left right now, hoping other teams fail. I think it's laughable that Flacco's play-off stats are inadmisable with him. I'm sure he's aware the Ravens won a play-off game with Flacco thorwing for under a 100 yards and a QB rating of 10, lulz.

BTW, Ryan is 4-2 against the Panthers. Not too shabby for a poor man's whatever.
