Yea, I love my team, but I don't think I'll ever like the name 'Bobcats'. But Im living with it because nothing will be done about it. I wish the Hornets would just die and let us have the name back. But oh well.

/pointless rant #NewBobcats (wait, this isn't twitter...)

I was actually hoping since the NBA owns the Hornets, that something could be done with their name... allowing Charlotte to own the rights to it. I'm dreaming, I know, but I really hate the name "Bobcats" that much! :D

I don't think we'll ever get the Hornets name back. But if they made a little switch-a-roo like this

Utah Bobcats

Charlotte Hornets

New Orleans Jazz

I agree. I think New Orleans would love to have the name "Jazz" back as much as Charlotte would love to be called the "Hornets" again. If anything, Utah is the only city that probably doesn't like the name but has no clue what they'd use in place of it?

In all fairness to the silliness of their name, there are NO lakes in L.A. or raptors in Toronto! Still... I'd love for them to change the name, leaving the Jazz open for New Orleans and Hornets for Charlotte.

That being said,

The Utah Stars? I can't think of much! haha

I did find out today that Utah is the beehive state. That being said, I hope they don't grab the Hornets name anytime soon!

    • Bryce put it in a spot only his guy could get it only for David Moore to drop it. T_T Tremble and Horn both struggled yesterday and that killed me since they're two of my favourite players. Tommy knows he has to come down with this one. Folks were understandably saying that JT would've caught that had he not gotten hurt a few plays earlier. The more I look at this play, the more I think that Bryce made the right decision throwing it out the back of the endzone. He could have tried to laser it in to Thielen, but that safety is lurking awfully close inside. Insuring the field goal here after a 44sec drive to end the half was the right move.
    • Except Bryce was the main reason we were in it
    • NFL Pro has the All-22 up already 😄 Going to grab a play or two from each redzone series to put screenshots to. Looks like AT angled his route off to the near pylon rather than the back corner where Bryce was throwing to. I imagine this is something they'll quickly try to figure out with Thielen back from IR. After watching the All-22 again, this was actually a pretty nifty play. I thought it was a TE screen to Tremble because of the way XL charged the DB, but he quickly shed and kept upfield as seen in the second screenshot. This looks like it had multiple layers built into it with AT running the crosser, XL the fade, Tremble to the flat. The progression would call for the play to go to Chuba here as the LB does follow Tremble out into the flat. Ball hits Chuba low and in the hands, but the LB does a good job disrupting the catch.
