i think detroit would have taken biyombo at 8

Without hesitation. I watched the nike hoops summit and biyombo put up a triple doublr against top hs talent. If this guy played a year of college ball where ppl would have known more about him, they would be thrilled with this pick.

Something that Kemba brings that we haven't had in this franchise is a player who in crucnhtime can score in a variety of ways. We've had go to players in the past, but I believe Kemba is the most versatile when it comes to scoring in different ways. Felton was clutch but really you could only count on him in driving to the basket situations. Jax came up big for us in clutch situations but really he only jabbed until the time ran out and then put up a shot. You couldn't rely on him beating someone off the dribble.

Kemba can beat someone off the dribble and finish in the lane and also use his handles to create space for a last second shot. He has shown, at least on the collegiate level, that he isn't afraid of taking the last shot.

Plus he has swagger. Always talking to himself and/or opponents.(Love that video Crixtala posted. Watch the video and you'll see what I am talking about when he hits he buzzer beater at the end of the 1st half against Tennessee) Just love the way he carries himself.

Kemba is going to be BIG in this league. There's so much about him that just shows that he's going to be huge. With him and Hendo paired up, we may have the hardest working backcourt in the NBA. And for anyone who questions his size, he has that NY swagger and strength to take that out of the question, playing MUCH MUCH bigger and stronger than he is. As he said, he may be small, but his heart is huge. Anyone questioning his ability to be a pure point guard, he was considered one of the best pure point guards before the season when he was called on to score. The funny thing is that if you were to look up his NBA scouting reports from his freshman and sophomore seasons, most actually said he was great as a pure point guard and questioned his scoring ability. With Kemba and Hendo at 1 and 2, our backcourt is set for years. Now we just need to get a quality C and future SF.
