Bobcats Rd 1, #7 pick Bismack Biyombo

ummm...tyrus is much more polished offensively

Which one can put their back to the basket and command a double team or get points?

So right now your 4-5 position are about the same size and do the same thing (one better offensively but not Like Z bo) right?

A friend of mine played against him in Spain. Said he didn't know why he went so high in the draft, the friend of mine scored 13 in the game Biyombo scored 8. But, Biyombo isn't a scorer, he's a defensive presence. It's not an exceptional pick, it's a gamble, but he could turn out to be a real force.

all i'm saying is that tyrus and biyombo are not the exact same offensively...your obsessing about this whole back to the basket thing...haha

i really think byiombo will back up kwame and hopefully take a few years to work with Charles Oakley (i hope oakley's back lets him return). I credit charles oakley with kwame's development as much as silas'

I rather we trade somebody tyrus, Boris, or Bismack for a legit post scorer.

Then we can either put Tyrus or Bismack at PF where I think they will have the most impact.

Sorry if that was posted already..that shows the workout biyombo had that was considered so impressive. When you watch him you do see a 6 ft 9 in dwight howard in his game. Long, athletic, powerful..just a poor finesse back to the basket game...

I felt like this video helped me feel better about the pick fwiw

I like the pick I just hope they get the best out of this kid and put him with a back to the basket Center like Kaman. So he can just worry about def. and rebounding until he develop a Offensive game.

I am not sure after seeing this clip and other clips of this guy how people can say he is a power forward. Your position is based not on your build but rather your style of play. Biyombo has no mid range game. While he isn't the best downlow player he has a longer way to becoming a PF than C. He will get a lot of his points through dunks. It's nice that he is more athletic than any center we have so that will come in handy. His wingspan helps as well.

-side not after watching that video reminds me how much I hated the Mikan drill.

Your center can be a pick or pop player and have a back to the basket game.

With Biyombo at PF doing all the dirty work think Oak and Ewing, Dream and Thorpe, Kareem and AC green.
