Singleton at 9 and Vucevic at 19?

The Bobcats are said to be all over Chris Singleton with the ninth pick, but would take Marcus Morris if they’re stuck. Nicola Vucevic would be Charlotte’s choice with the 19th pick if he’s still there.

i don't really understand the morris part...unless they're suggesting singleton might be gone by our pick

I would be perfectly okay with those two guys...only because I feel that Jax and Diaw will both be gone before the trade deadline and I see marquee free agent (hopefully) signing here too.

this is my ideal draft if we stay at 9 and 19..

Chris Singleton: long, defender with the ability to shot the 3.. reminds me of Crash.. smart player, works on his game- is very down to earth.. team player

Nicola Vucevic: Not your typical soft Euro player.. had a couple years in USC crafting his game.. has a nice outside shot for a 7 footer.. reminds me a lot of Pao Gasol.. works for the boards, can bulk up but his ceiling is high..

but we will have to wait to see if we dont load up on picks or dump contracts.. interesting

I wouldn't mind Singleton but no and Hell no to Marcus Morris. We have a stable of PF already and he cannot play the 3 because he couldn't guard the quicker players. Singleton or Jordan Hamilton at #9. I really think we should package both our 1st rounders and get Kanter. We tried that quantity over quality for ray felton n sean may and look what that got us. Could have had CP3 or D. Will. smh.

I'm not big on Singleton just because I think we should diversify our roster a little bit. With Singleton, the core of our roster going forward would be DJ, Hendo, Singleton, Thomas. Where are the points? I hope DJ's jumper is on every game, or we will be losing a lot of games 80-75

i agree...i think hamilton is a much better fit with this team...we need people who can score the basketball...that is not what singleton brings...i'm really hoping hamilton kills the workout tomorrow and puts himself ahead of singleton

    • Really?  Back to this again? How many times have I said that I’d prefer to trade back from #1? Too many to count, but as I’ve pointed out, that’s going to be much easier said than done, as once we signal we want to trade back, teams will know we don’t want any of the QBs and they’d target the 2nd pick in a trade instead. All of my “T-Mac at #1” talk has been discussed under two circumstances… the first being that no QB or DE pop before the draft, and that we can’t trade back. But again, I know you don’t like to actually read that stuff when I say it, as I’ve said it numerous times.
    • Thanks for posting this. While this was far from a great performance, this critique shows what some of us noticed last week. Bryce played "a little better". There is some talent there. But, as you pointed out we really don't have a great pass blocking line for dropping back each down when we are behind. BY has got some bad habits and physical limitations. At times his teammates let him down. The play calling isn't always the best. I hope he can learn from last week and show us some improvement in the Saints game.
    • Oh, and yes, I’d take a WR first in this upcoming draft, but again, that’s not in a vacuum I wouldn’t have taken him over the QBs this past year or likely the ones next year either. It’s all relative to who is available in a specific draft, and I don’t think any of the QB’s are worth the risk at #1 this year. Also the fact that you’ve said you would take T-Mac #2 but scoff at him going #1 is just in itself, super weird.  How you can justify a player at #2 but not #1 solely because of their position and with complete disregard to the other players available, is absolutely crazy town talk
