Falling Skies TV Series

Well, it's not crazy to think there will be small groups out there running with themselves. It's probably a better idea to survive, honestly. Six or so tough guys that aren't afraid to do what needs to be done vs a ton of women and children slowing you down, do the math. What doesn't make sense is the "bandits" trying to go up against the militia. Be stealth and stay away, or, be cordial and just be on your way.

About letting him join, well, you have to realize that their "fights" are just regular people that picked up guns when all this happened. If you have a chance to get someone like this guy, who is not afraid of using a weapon, and has experience taking down the aliens at this point (with far fewer numbers than militia has done), you may not be able to skip on the chance. He also seems pretty intelligent. I understand what he did, but in a world like this, I think you have to try not to completely judge people as you would otherwise. These guys are a product of their environment at this point, trying to survive. I do think he'll eventually be a problem, trying to make a new little group and leave for themselves or something, we'll see.

First off I understand your POV but I look at things differently.

don't know about you, but I wondered about that before he even addressed the other girl and asked her to stand up. Once he asked her to stand up so he could look at the goods, that just cemented it for me that the other girl that had ran with them had been taken advantage of.

The problem with this is that presenting this at this point undermined what happened before... If that weighed on her so much, she would've taken the first opportunity to get out of there and she didn't. Instead, she returned and only shot him once he suggested he would do it to the other girl. Just isn't cohesive...

I didn't see it at first so more power to you I guess. She was in a situation of survival plus she wanted revenge. She stayed so she could fight another day, battered wife syndrome perhaps? She was gonna kill them if she had the chance. What better way to do it than from the inside. The killing was a nice twist to remove them from their captivity. It was better than everybody running in and gettin shot trying to save them. That would have been cliche.

Then I get that there will always be factions among people in times of crisis, but this one was poorly presented.

It wasn't the best choice, but eh I didn't mind it.

Aside from the reasons I listed in the previous post, there were too many times that even a crazy rebel leader would know in order to survive he would have to surrender or join forces with the resistance - instead, he gets all of his men killed, including his brother, is still easy going, cocky, and bragging about how exhausted he is from leading this s***ty gang.

The guy was psycho enough to get several people killed for illogical reasons and then is allowed to use weapons and fight alongside people he tried to get annihilated by a 50 cal gun and alien bombs, lol.

Let me first start by reiterating what you said. The guy was crazy! Of course he isn't going to make logical decisions, plus hes only out to save his own skin and as an extremely selfish person he will remain easy going, cocky, and bragging. If he was so tired, maybe he wanted to get all his men killed so he didn't have that burden anymore? I doubt it, but its a possibility. He knew he was in a position of power having hostages and tried to press his advantage. He lost.

I'm not ragging on the show, like I said... Wylie and many of the other main characters deliver great performances and the story was fathomable and well put together up until this idiotic rebel guy was introduced... The whole crew just jacked up things.

I liked his character, he was almost Russel Brand'ish. He couldn't be a brooding dark killer, there would be no play, no drama, no fun in it for his character. Is it the best character, nope, is his arc complete? nyet. I think his character will develop further into someone you might end up liking. He will be full of surprises I think; good and bad. Although I think Weaver will end up being the wildcard in the end.

The pilot was absolutely HORRIBLE. That might be the worst pilot I've seen for a show in years! If it wasn't the commercials every 5 minutes (which then lasted 4 minutes), it was the terrible acting, or that they were always fighting these things at night, doing whatever they wanted during the day, alien "mechs", Americans using more AK-47s than local products and of course the obligitory young kid that has to flirt w/ a young girl scene. I just couldn't make it the full 2 hours. I cut my losses at 75 minutes.

I need to stop getting excited about things produced by Stephen Spielberg.. his name has become a marketing ploy.

Huge disappointment.

Why can't anyone do a show based off of Battle LA?

Jangler, weren't you also in the thread with me checking out that heavily marketed, "next great superhero" show that NBC kept hounding over SNF - The Cape?

What happened to that POS? I never watched or checked back in after that horrible first episode.

Summer Glau is cursed. Thats what happened to that POS; anything she touches dies unfortunately.

30 minutes was enough of that show for me. If NBC wants a superhero show, they need to fix Heroes and get it back on.

That show was ruined beyond repair. Just bring back Syler, and The Cheerleader, forget about the rest of those pussies.
