Overrated/Underrated Players

Anderson had ONE good year, and that was a contract year.

Can ALWAYS count on you to talk out of your ass.

Can't tell if you just want the attention, or you really are that ignorant.

Last season was andersons first year as a full time starter.

The year before, he played very well when he was on the field, which was pretty much the entire second half of that season.

So that facts are he's played well for more than one year. Just so happens his first year of starting, was also the last year of his rookie contract.

Keeep spinning your poo though.

I will give him this--- Anderson has come a long ways from his rookie year. He is now IMO a marginal starter, which aint bad considering his ass was a candidate to get cut not too long ago.

You are talking out of your ass because you know you are wrong.

He was never on the verge of being cut, he was one of the Panthers top special teams players before this past year. What Jordan Senn is doing for the Panthers on special teams used to be what James Anderson was doing for the Panthers on special teams until last year when injuries forced Anderson into the starting line-up. The key to Anderson's success is simple, it's called playing time. 192 of his 236 tackle's came when he was a starter not a sub. Every single sack (6.5) and 4 of his 5 forced fumbles occured as a starter as well as his interception. It's simple the more you see the field, the more productive you will be. Anderson is indeed the most underrated player on the roster based on how much you here about him and how much he produces. You just can't argue with that.

Fine. I know nothing about football. Really, I have never even watched a game.

I am sure that GMs around the league are lining up at the chance to sign this guy to a big dollar contract. Just wait and see.

An underrated player and an All-Pro player are not the same thing, you do realize that right. Or are you talking out of your ass.....again.

Impact players are those types of players that you can't really go out and find replacements for. In other words, they are the guys that you break the bank on. Everyone else is either a solid starter, a marginal starter, a role player, or a scrub. We have been talking about Jeff King in another thread- he is a marginal starter/possibly solid starter.

There are tons of James Andersons available in the NFL. Hell, I will say that the Panthers have had several James Andersons in the past few years---- remember Chris Draft? If Anderson becomes costly due to his inflated numbers from playing in Meeks' defense, then the Panthers should let him walk. There are plenty of cheap alternatives available.

There aren't tons of players like Thomas Davis available.

That is probably right, because I don't know to many guys that have managed to tear the same ACL in back to back years.

OK. Plenty of speculation on this board and from the media about Anderson being cut.

And more

The Rock Hill Herald "doesn't like" 2006 third-round pick James Anderson's chances of making the roster in 2008.

Anderson was the 88th choice in the '06 draft. He's weaker on special teams than Adam Seward, but if it comes down to money, Anderson could still get the last roster spot. He'd only cost $435,000; Seward would net $927,000.
