I think things are supposed to die when they're ready to die but I have never had a pet who was in this position. I'm not sure how I'd react. Maybe you should just make sure your next house doesn't have carpet.

Over-reacting. I have to deal with messes every day because of lazy drunk ass roommates. Cleaning up a little cat puke is nothing.

And Hawk, just being honest here, but to be buyers are turned off by the smallest things. Such as throw up on the carpet, animal smells, and yes, even an old ugly cat wondering around while you are showing the home.

Just put it in a bathroom with food, water, something to sleep on, and a litter box. And put a sign on the door "Pet in room, do not open".

ya...thats what we are going to do for a while and see what she does...depending on how her appointment with the vet goes. The other cat is scared of it's own shadow so as soon as people come to the door, she's in hiding...and the dogs are in the back yard.

If I had to make your decision, I would put the cat down, it's lived a full life. I'm sure it doesn't feel to well if it's getting sick that often. It's probably not going to get better only worse, it's not helping you sell your home and I'm sure you don't want that in your new residence.
