Newton helping out Steve Smith

Well... It's good to see that people around here are ALREADY realizing what we have in Cam! It's only gonna get better and better from here on out.

You should only expect the best outta this guy... He will continue to win people over one by one all over the nation. He hasn't even thrown an NFL pass yet, and he's winning over people who didn't believe he was a high character individual... just wait til he gets on the field...

Ah hell, either you like him or you don't... I'm done trying to sell him to this fan base and football fans in general. I called him being our #1 pick during that Alabama game, before we were even cemented the #1 pick...

I'll just sit back and continue laughing at all the doubters... Before long their will only be a handful left...

Yep, this guy sure is an a-hole talk about being an egomaniac.

I actually thought this was in reference to Smitty and "how horrible of a person he is"..

better fit for Smitty and all the good he does that goes ignored so often.

Where does Newton get the money to do all that he's doing? I mean, technically, he's unemployed right now. All of this traveling that he's having to do isn't free is it?

I'm not trying to be facetious or anything, it's just something that I thought seemed weird.

Attitude-wise, I'm seeing everything from Cam Newton I wanted to see. I'm still skeptical about his game; and with an inevitable short season this year, he won't get enough time to really develop, so we will have #1 again.

But my doubt about him being the face of the franchise and a team leader are being erased one-by-one.

He has a deal with Under Armour and GM the deal with under Armour is reported to be 10 million/5 year deal and his deal with GM is undisclosed.

Haha, good thing the Falcons mortgaged their future for him!

I will never understand that move by the Falcons. From an outsider's POV, it sure looked like they needed defensive help more than they needed another WR. I bet they still haven't fully recovered by that beating the Packers put on their D.

yeah, b/c doing camps for kids somehow means he doesn't have anger management issues and isn't a dick in a competitive football enviroment.

not sure anyone that I have seen on this board imply he was an egomaniac though.....

South Georgia has some of the best high school football and best high school football (and future college) players in the country.

And pretty good lower-division college football teams in Georgia Southern and Valdosta State.

I would hazard a guess to say that south Georgia has had more success and better players when it comes to football than any place in South Carolina outside of Clemson.

LOL, what a laugh. For every 1 player you can name from "South" Georgia that is making noise at the collegiate level, I'll name you 3 from SC.
