Jordan vs Kobe vs LeBron (Magic too) NBA Finals stats

Recommended Posts

Post Jordan and Kobe's Finals stats at age 26.

Jordan wasnt playing in NBA Finals at age 26, and Kobe stats were "sidekick-like". LeBron has plenty of time to establish his legacy.

Not really.. Kobe had already completed his first 3peat and his stats were from 25 to 29 ppg for all 3 of the first title seasons. Its not like he was the 81 point Kobe we all know but to call him a sidekick is silly, he was still one of the best players in the league at that age. Guess who hit the game winning shot in game 6 after Shaq fouled out to clinch their first title?? get off LBJ's nuts, hes the sidekick

there will never be another MJ!

MJ is to basketball what Gretzky is to hockey.

I dont remember Gretzky winning 3 Stanley Cups, then going on to play pro soccer and then coming back to win 3 more. That poo will never be topped

He has time sure... But age do not make a player better... Experience do. And after 8 seasons in the NBA Jordan was a two time NBA champion and finals MVP with an avg of 34 pts pr game.

LeBron after 8 seasons was a two time loser with an avg of 20 pts pr game and nowhere close to a finals MVP.

Jordan had by the 8th year in NBA more points pr game, points pr game in finals, more MVPs, more finals MVPs, more scoring titles, more All star games, more D player of the year, more 1st D team of the year, more NBA 1st team. AND MORE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

At this point in their NBA lives LeBron is NOT in the same league as Jordan. Not even in the league below. And yes he has time but its not like Jordan fell of a cliff after his 8 first years so Lebron is running out of time. In fact there is NO chance LeBron will ever reach the same level Jordan had.

LeBron will never be Jordan and he'll be the first to tell you that. Even if he won it this year, its not like you dudes would be in here proclaiming him as good as Jordan. What he will be is LeBron. Magic & Bird won titles and Finals MVPs within their first 3 years in the league, why did it take Jordan 8 years?

Wade is one of the greatest clutch performers in the game today. LeBron will never win an NBA Finals MVP as long as Wade is on the team. You can't be the GOAT if your not the GPOYOT (greatest player on your on team).

LeBron is a better player than D Wade and makes his teammates better unlike Wade. The only people who proclaim different are people who either

A) Dont like LeBron and see Wade as the lesser of two evils

B) People who only look at Finals performances and block out everything else

LeBron has never played on a team that won 15 games, but D Wade has. There's not a GM in the league that wanted Wade more than Bron last offseason during free agency..

Yankees, Lakers, Celtics. The 3 most successful sports franchises in America. I'd say Magic & Bird going to 2 of those teams, already loaded with all-time greats, played a part in it. Jordan also went to a large market team in Chicago, but they had no talent around him & 0 Championships.

    • Bryce has had this story of being a great leader and a person who his teammates love.  Coaches and media all said some form of after talking with Bryce or spending time with him and it was obvious the type of person and leader he was.  I don't see it from his demeanor and public persona but he might be the type of guy who's much different in person.  With so many people saying some version of this I hope the fans get a glimpse of it some time.
    • Auburn literally could've had 20+ fouls in that half. Hate playing teams like this. They picked up 5-6 quick ones then like always happens the refs start to get whistle shy not wanting to call a foul every possession and they start getting away with murder. The way they call the games encourages this type of play. If they keep fouling just keep calling it.
    • I think last year actually set him back.  Our interior online was one of the worst I've seen.  Combine that with Frank archaic system and about 10 other things and then Canales comes in and implements his system regardless who the players were. A lot of coaches think their system can work with any player and don't do any or as much as they should with tailoring it to fit the player.  Canales admitted that pretty much in our first game but when he scaled it back and Bryce still looked horrible so he was benched.  That move right there is one of the big things that has sold me on Canales.  I judge him based on what he's done since he was renamed the starter.  I probably need to give him a little more rope because it probably seemed in his first game like it was just like last year.  Another new coach with his system and Bryce just went along.  Both the coach and the player are adapting to each other and I think that we are back, baby!!!!  It's just like Drew Brees and Sean Payton except without the mole and the butthole lips.
