The one in Spartanburg isn't that great. The atmosphere isn't too good (though the patio is nice if the weather is nice), the service is slow and the pizza is so-so. We go to Venus Pie up the street, a local pizza place. It looks like a dump, but the pizza is good.

"Real" hippies are not that bad, it's the 20 somethings that give them a bad rap. In all fairness, a "real" hippie keeps to themselves, and lives in dirt. They stink and I do not care for their lifestyle, but they do serve a purpose i.e. saving nature.

With that said..........down with the hippies, and their liberal pizza!!!

I didn't even know it was that big of a franchise i thought it was just a NC/SC thing in college towns. The philosophers pie is so damn good making me hungry. Their olives sucked i usually got them on the side.

I can how places like olive garden suck too but I've gotten the lunch special plenty of times, that's good in a way. Kind of like a bowl of cereal vibe.

I would rather have my pizza served by a nice italian girl as opposed to a hippie that hasn't bathed in a week. I have no problem with hippies when I'm at a show doing drugs with them. As far as having them serve me pizza? A Kind no.

As I said the food was decent when I ate there, but too expensive imo seeing as I don't care if it's all natural or whatever you say it is to charge me more.

Here is a pizza rundown based solely on the food and no mellow mushroom isn't last:

where is one in charlotte? i know there was one over near highland creek that closed years ago

the one in asheville is absolutely the best one... but that's more to do with the crowd/location/vibe than anything else

but i've never had a bad pizza at mellow
