and I haven't been to the one in Charlotte. I was going on experiences at the other locations and the meaning behind the chain....

I will gladly support restaurants that use fresh and local grown ingredients, as Mellow Mushroom does. However, there were better Pizza places that do the same thing in Boone so the only reason I ever went there was when I could get free beer when my Buddy was bartending.

yeah, asheville's the only one that i've seen "hippies" working at... myrtle beach (which the restaurant sucked, food was still good) was a bunch of teeny boppers who couldn't give a rats ass about the customers... ATL was just your normal joes... and from the sounds of it, charlotte's is just your normal charlotte joes

I imagine you'd have to try to make the pizza bland. I think the pizza is pretty good. Definitely overpriced, though.

My issue with the one in Charlotte is the ungodly amount of children roaming around that place. It's like a goddamned daycare.

I would rather have my pizza served by a nice italian girl as opposed to a hippie that hasn't bathed in a week. I have no problem with hippies when I'm at a show doing drugs with them. As far as having them serve me pizza? A Kind no.

As I said the food was decent when I ate there, but too expensive imo seeing as I don't care if it's all natural or whatever you say it is to charge me more.

Here is a pizza rundown based solely on the food and no mellow mushroom isn't last:

1) Brooklyn South, Mama's, Prosciutto's (or any good NY style or brick oven pizza)

2) Brixx, Fuel, Sbarro

3) Cici's( because it's unlimited), Papa John's, Pizza Hut, Mellow Mushroom

4) Little Ceaser's, Domino's

5) Hungry Howies, Digiorno

6) Red Baron, Stouffer's

I've never had a stinky hippy serve me pizza literally anywhere. Stinky people work in the back if they can get work at all. Maybe my experience was so much better there mainly because only college age motivated students worked at the one I went to which is probably why the food and service we're so much better than other people. I'm not surprised that myrtlebeach would have an awful Mellow mushroom.

We never even received our food at the MB MM. We got our drinks, never got our appetizers or pizza. Waited an hour and got up and left. We did try to talk to the manager, but he was as clueless as everyone else in there. It wasn't even busy. We were all livid after we left. Three pissed off teenagers plus me and the hubby.

On a positive note, we left MM and the boys picked Hooters. We had a fantastic waitress who had everyone smiling and laughing in just minutes after we arrived.
