Thomas Davis spotted in Atlanta

So I was eating at a sports bar last night and I look up and Thomas Davis is hanging out with a group of UGA people. Apparently he was in town signing autographs and eating dinner with fans for the day. I walked over to him and told him that I was a Panthers fan and I was in Atlanta for busniess. We chatted for a while and I asked him what the deal with Peppers was. He said he hoped that whatever Peppers does, that "he is happy". I specifically asked him about the defensive coaching change and its impact on the overall situation. He thought that it could very well make a impact on Pep's descision. We chatted for about 10 mins. about that, and other things. I got a feeling that he knew more than he was willing to tell. Maybe Pep is going to stay...I sensed that he knew something, but didn't want to say anything...

Also, he gave me his autograph on one of his "Thomas Davis' Chilopractor Service" tee shirts, "free adjustments up the middle".

It was pretty cool meeting him, he was a nice guy. I mentioned that I had recently bought a #89 and #34 jeresy. He was like, "c'mon man, you should have gotten that #58 jersey!"

Why would he drain out family business to a stranger? Of course he knows more. LOL

And Davis is always in Atlanta. He has a house out that way. A lot of friends in the Atlanta area.

Cool story though.

Actually he does not have a house in Atlanta, I asked him that. In fact, he and his wife had to drive back to Charlotte that same night.

Oh. Well I know he use to see him a lot of the time down by the Fairlie Lofts.

Or maybe that was classified information? LOL

I know he has a lot of friends and some family in the Atlanta area. For a while I thought he had a place in Atlanta, because he spent a lot of time there in the offseason.

    • Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed.  the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff.  Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his offensive coordinator. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call? What low lvl porn addict evangelical from the bucs is ready to be Peter principled? There is nothing in his coaching history or his current performance that indicates he’s the person to move this team forward. Every other team knew this last cycle (panthers were only interview) and nothing has happened to change that perception   all people like you have is “well you can’t do it again it’s too soon but <random interval of time> will be different.  just pull off the bandage. There’s no reason to let this guy draft “his guy” except people wanting an excuse not to fire him after 2025.
    • Both Reich and Canales were saddled with trying to build and establish a viable scoring offense around Bryce Young. The best the offense looked this season and last season was with Andy Dalton who is also terrible but still better than Bryce Young. Which should be all anyone needs to know but still somehow there are weirdos here salivating over a ceiling of maybe on a really good day the 25th best QB in the league. We've already canned one entire staff over our first overall pick. You can fire everyone again to satisfy your need for vengeance and quickly come to the realization that your next hire will absolutely unequivocally be a downgrade yes man or you can blow up this QB room and then assess. If no progress next season then you can make changes and justifiably so.
    • Surprised this is the only post with this take.  This is like the Rhule kiss of death lol.
