I'm ok with this simply because Cam is the man now. It's not like the Moore/Delhomme thing where Moore was a journeyman who we all wanted to give him a shot but there could be a potential divide in the locker room between guys. I don't think if Jake came back he would have any misconceptions about his role whatsoever. Add to that the fact that it seems that Cam really earned a lot of the guys' respect at the POTA's, and I don't really see what harm it could do. I honestly don't think he'd command much more of a salary than Moore either.

Cam/Delhomme/Clausen. I'm good with that depth chart.

i would actually bump clausen ahead of jake. i've said all along that if we get an older vet that i only want him to carry the clipboard and be an experienced set of eyes on the sideline and voice in meetings.

whether it's moore or clausen as the #2, i don't really care, though i see moore getting offers elsewhere before we get trade offers for clausen.

I wouldn't want him back for two reasons. One, bringing him back could very possibly cause a division in the locker room. Two, with Jake back how is Cam supposed to be the guy everyone looks to for leadership and the guy they can rally behind and support when half of them would still be gaga over Jake?

seems like newton is wonning over everyone. don't really see that first one being an issue. him spending so much time with the oline and getting along so well with them is going to go along way. as far as the WRs...unless i'm mistaken, smith is the only one left that played with jake. one or two of the TEs will be gone and the starter will be shockey, so no reason for loyalty there.

if this team was made up of the same people that was here when jake was here i can see that it might be an issue, but the team has gone through a massive overhaul in personnel.

that second deal about leadership. moore has some people that like him and are his "fans" in the locker room, but you never really hear much of him being a strong leader or all that strong of a personality. nice guy and all, but not a field general that commands respect. it was necessary to remove jake from the picture if they were going to be turning to moore for the full time job. with newton, i don't really see that being a big deal. newton will be getting the respect of a leader on the team with or without jake there.

Delhomme as QB coach sure but not a roster spot.

not crazy. i'm saying i would want him as the 3rd QB option. if it gets down to the 3rd QB we're screwed anyway.

the idea of senaca wallace is one i'm not thrilled with. i would rather my QB not be eye to anus level with the Oline.

Jake Delhomme played better than Seneca Wallace last season. The only reason some people don't want him back is because of all the time they spent complaining about him while he was here in their effort to get rid of him.

what is this article supposed to prove? If you're suggesting Wallace started because of Jakes injury then you are wrong becasue even when Jake was healthy they still went with Wallace. They went back to Jake after Wallace got hurt and Jake came in during that game.
