I definitely fall into the pre-Black category... Id have to say Master is the best, but it is a damn hard decision... Kill Em All and Ride the Lightning are awesome in their own respects... Ever notice how every song on Lightning is about death, and just about every song on Master is about manipulation, one form or another?

Metallica was an alright band. As a drummer however their drummer was always horrible. Just horrible. Decent Lyrics, great vocals and an amazing guitarist how can you leave out an elite drummer? The drummer simple style numbs my brain. It is fun to play the Metallica songs they way you would. I'd rather the band die than fade out but that's just me.

Anything before the mid 90s by Metalllica is great. I loved the lighting and kill em all. Puppets and JFA is good too...

I always hear other drummers say this, then I ask them what they think of Phil Rudd.

So whaddayathink about Phil Rudd?
