Theory about the lockout

The owners are actually locking players out because they are afraid of one man...

Jerry Richardson is the leader on lockout negotiations because he wants to win some damn Lombardi Trophies. Everyone else is abandoning him though. The owners don't want to face the mighty Cam for the next 15 seasons. Since the media hates Carolina, none of this truth is actually being reported. Its all being swept under the rug and Jerry is made to look like a bad guy.

This is really the only plausible reason for the lockout lasting so long.
