Lockout almost over says newspaper source...

A deal to end the National Football League's lockout is almost complete, according to an NFL source.

According to an the source, owners and players were close to an agreement today to end the lockout, which entered its 86th day today.

Some coaches and players have been contacted about returning to work probably early next week and as soon as this weekend.

I'm kinda skeptic but apparently talks have been going well. If this is true I guess they've been going better than I thought.

This is good news. I heard there was a motion to dismiss the Brady et. all vs. NFL case earlier in the week, and that came on the coattails of details that a settlement was being reached.

I believe the strong arm lawyer tactics backfired like hell on the players, and now they realized they genuinely need to deal, and be willing to accept compromise.

Yeah same goes for the PFT article about it, I find it funny that Kraft said that yet The Tribune is a Massachusetts based paper...would be funny if that source was with the Patriots

Well honestly, if the owners and players are stupid enough to leave all the revenue on the table for this year, then they are beyond stupid.

NFL, too, big time with gambling...and we know who runs that business despite what nice front is put on it....and believe me, I gamble anyway, even knowing who runs it.
